What we do

Services, installed & explained.

Your home is the place you share with those you love most — a place whose comfort we’re here to protect. From winter’s chill through the dog days of summer, our primary goal is to keep your home comfortable for you and your family. We also offer peace of mind, ensuring your equipment operates safely, help you save money on your fuel bills, and deliver relief to those with allergies and others concerned with the quality of the air they breathe.

More solar energy hits the earth and is stored in the ground you walk on every day than we could even consider discussing.

How does it work?

Nearly 47 % of the suns energy that reaches the earth is absorbed by the ground. This allows the earth to maintain warmer ground temperatures in the winter and cooler ground temperatures in the summer. (about 52.2 degrees on cape cod). Through the process of refrigeration - " The process in which work is done to move heat from one location to another" Wikipedia — geothermal heat pumps remove stored heat in the ground and relocate it to your home. In the summer, the same heat pumps remove unwanted heat from your home and place it in the ground. One way of looking at it is that we borrow heat for the winter and give it back in the summer.

Geothermal heating and cooling is among the most cost effective and lowest greenhouse gas emissive methods of heating and cooling available.

The geothermal heat pumps' efficiency is measured in a Coefficient of performance

(COP) which rates the heat pump based upon how much electricity it uses in proportion to how much energy is delivered to your home.

Most geothermal heat pumps are operating in the range of 4.5 to 7 COP. Basically that means 450 to 700 percent efficiency. By purchasing one kilowatt of electricity, you get 4.5 to 7 times that energy in return.

Geothermal contractors are not common though. In order for your project to work as planned, you must have a contractor trained in the relationship between the earth coupling (wells or loop fields), the heat loss evaluation of your home and the installation of each type of system.

We always perform a complete testing of your home via a BPI home energy audit, a Manual J heat loss calculation based upon audit results, and Manual D duct sizing based upon Manual J. After a test well is done, we will select the optimum earth coupling and install the best system for your project.

Purchasing a new cooling system for your home can be a nerve racking task. If it’s time to replace an aging or worn out air conditioner we are here to help make the process easier for you.

A cooling system is one of the biggest uses of energy in your home but it doesn’t have to be as costly. An air conditioner’s performance is measured by System Efficiency Ratio (SER™). SER™ is a relatively new standard in the air conditioning and heating industry. It’s an efficiency rating of your installed system, including the effects of the furnace, the ductwork and the construction of your home. To read more information about SER™ Click Here.

Replacing an existing working air conditioner

Before quoting to replace your existing air conditioner, as an NCI certified contractor we measure the SER™ of your system. The test reveals the ratio of actual cooling delivery compared to the rated amount the equipment produced when the manufacturer tested the equipment. For example, if an air conditioner worked perfectly, it would be rated at a CSER™ of 100%. But if it only delivered half the heating, the CSER would be 50%. In simple terms, a 14 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) air conditioner could only operate like 7 SEER equipment.

We test your equipment first to determine the problem with your system then we recommend the best solution for you.

Replacing a worn out or old air conditioner

Before replacing just the air conditioner we look at your house as a whole because your air conditioner is only one part that affects the SER™. We look at the furnace, the ductwork, and the construction of your home because if any one piece of your system isn’t up to top shape it can affect your SER™, your comfort, and can cost you money.

After analyzing your house and the system we will recommend the best solution for you. It is not uncommon to find the ductwork needs fixing or replacement, the furnace needs to be cleaned or other problems caused by your house. But when these problems are fixed and the right air conditioner installed you will notice the difference in your comfort and your energy bills.

We look at the whole picture to ensure that you receive the best possible comfort system.

Arzel zoning technology brochure cover showing a family inside a house outline

Imagine if every time you turned on a light switch, every electrical device in your home came on or if every time you went to wash your hands every faucet, shower, tub and toilet opened up. That would be crazy! So why is it that when you need heating in one room the entire house heats up? Now you can zone your heating and cooling so that you don’t have to heat or cool your entire home when you don’t need to.

Our home zoning system is specially designed to allow your entire family to be comfortable, regardless of where they are in your home. Now you can divide your home’s ductwork into specific zones that can be controlled independently, whether heating or cooling. Imagine the bedrooms on one zone, the family room on another, and the kitchen on a third. Even better yet, you can finally control that hard to heat and cool addition for which you paid a fortune.

Improperly sized or designed ductwork is the most common reason people are not comfortable in their own homes. Imagine for a moment that your furnace is your lungs. Now imagine that you are running a 1-mile race. If you are in good shape you should have no problem. Now imagine that you have to run that same 1-mile race breathing through a cocktail straw. No matter how good of shape you are in, you will never run the race as fast and easily as if you could breath normally. This inability to breathe is what happens when your furnace is forced to operate through improperly sized ductwork.

By custom fabricating sheet metal ductwork, we can quickly and efficiently build any necessary parts of duct to modify and enhance the performance of your system. Even if your entire duct system needs replacement, we can design and fabricate a new system in less than a day.

Lack of return air is a very common problem for those systems that were either poorly designed or originally planned for heat only applications. Adding additional returns to your system allows for greater supply air into your home, resulting in better airflow and comfort for your family. The benefits you will receive by taking care of this problem include: quieter operation, better airflow, fewer repairs, longer life of your equipment, lower utility bills and, best of all, greater comfort.

Flow-through humidifier unit

With the proper level of humidity in your home, you will feel more comfortable and breathe easier. You can eliminate that dry eye, nose and throat feeling you have when you wake up in the morning. Humidity also reduces or eliminates static electricity. It protects the investment in your home and your furniture because proper humidity prevents wood from cracking and peeling.

A flow-through humidifier can be easily added to any forced air heating system. The advantage with this type of humidifier is that it provides humidity without breeding or spreading mold or mildew. This is in contrast to the humidifiers that use a reservoir where water can stagnate--a perfect environment for mold and mildew growth. A flow-through humidifier is easy to maintain. It has no moving parts and is designed to operate with no mineral or mold buildup.

Another alternative is a steam humidifier. Steam can be generated by using the resistance of the water as a heater or through the use of an electric resistance heater to boil the water. In both cases, the water is boiled to produce steam. It's sterile and nothing beats steam when it comes to introducing large amounts of water to the air.

To understand why many of today’s health problems can be caused by the home you live in, you need to look back a few years to see what caused this to happen. You see, during the energy crisis of the early 1970s, highly insulated “tight” homes became popular because of their potential to reduce energy costs.

Within a few years, however, complaints started to arise, due to health, and excessive moisture issues caused by indoor pollution, and associated moisture problems within these homes.

In the late 1980s and early 90s, indoor air quality became a nationally recognized issue. Even today, newer and more energy-efficient homes seemed predisposed to the problem. In addition, they retain more humidity and airborne pollutants, which causes longer life-spans, and more productive cycles of microbial activity within the home, such as mold, germs, bacteria and viruses.

This greater activity and concentration of these airborne contaminants, equates to more allergic reactions, and sickness within families, for longer periods of time.

MOLD: A SURVIVOR

Why is mold so difficult to control? Mold is at the bottom of the food chain. It thrives on very little, grows rapidly, and produces spores, volatile organic compounds, and other toxins. One organism can multiply to trillions in less than three weeks. When given the right conditions, mold can occur anywhere; in homes, schools, workplaces, entertainment centers, vehicles, etc.

The interior of your ductwork and air conditioning equipment, provides an ideal environment for mold growth — especially in the air conditioners inside drain-pan where it is dark, damp, and filled with nutrients. The result can be like blowing air over a swamp or through a sewer and then into your home, vehicle, and workplace.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 60% of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) problems and allergies may be mold-related. Some IAQ diagnosticians and practitioners today say the figure may be as high as 80%. The increased usage of air conditioning systems almost directly parallels the increase of allergies and IAQ problems.

As mold and bacteria grow on coils and in drain pans, they are disseminated through the ducts to occupied spaces. Some mold products (toxins) produce serious and sometimes life-threatening reactions, including allergy, asthma, hypersensitivity, pneumonitis, and in some extreme cases even bleeding lung disease.

Additionally, mold creates a troublesome maintenance problem. Its activity results in dirty coils, a loss of air-flow, loss of heat exchange efficiency, dirty and sometimes plugged drain pans, and excessive energy use.

USING UVC TECHNOLOGY

Our company has found that the most successful way to handle system mold is through Ultraviolet (U.V.) germicidal lights. These U.V. systems are a recent breakthrough in protecting the health of a home.

Ultraviolet light in the “C" band (UVC) has been used for more than 65 years to kill microorganisms in hospitals, barber shops, laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, and at the nation's Center for Disease Control. Residential ultraviolet units have been independently tested and proved to be effective in the constantly moving air environments of heating and cooling systems, killing mold and bacteria quickly and effectively. The UVC energy attacks the organism’s DNA and either destroys it immediately or prevents it from reproducing.

For most people, the original motivation for installing the lights is to abate IAQ complaints and/or allergies. However, they are also pleased to learn that many hidden odors are also eliminated with U.V. technology.

Most heating and cooling systems still use a basic air filter. These filters were originally designed to protect the equipment and not the people served by the equipment. The average air filter is only capable of removing 3–5% of the particles that pass through it. Today, however, there are several types of permanent air filters available in various efficiencies that can help you filter the air in your home. If you suffer from allergies, asthma, hay fever or other breathing difficulties, there is an air filter that can help you. We can even provide you with the same type of air filter used in hospital operating rooms.

Have you ever been in your attic in the middle of the summer? It’s HOT! That’s why you need an attic ventilator. Assisting your air conditioner in cooling your home and in lowering your utility bills, an attic ventilator exhausts the hot air from your attic and brings in cooler air from the outside. This circulation of air greatly reduces the heat load on your home allowing your air conditioner to work more efficiently and to cool your home faster. Adding an attic ventilator to your home will save you money and make you more comfortable.

A digital setback thermostat is designed for people with fixed schedules that take them in and out of the home. With it, you can program the temperature to ‘set-back’ when you are not at home. This feature keeps you comfortable when you’re home and saves you money when you’re not by reducing the energy needs to heat and cool your home.

Digital setback thermostats are available in what are called 5+2 day configurations and 7-day configurations. The difference is flexibility. A 5+2 day configuration allows you to set Monday–Friday as a group setting with up to four different time settings. This configuration also allows you to set Saturday and Sunday as a separate group with up to four different time settings per day. The 7-day configuration thermostat allows you to program each day differently with up to four different time settings per day.

Easy-to-see thermostats are the best idea in thermostats and few people know about them! They work the same as a standard thermostat and are as easy to use. An easy-to-see thermostat has very large raised numbers that people with impaired vision can easily read. An audible click sounds at each degree mark as you adjust the temperature by turning the dial. An optional large clear dial cover is available to assist those who are hindered with arthritis.

Protect Your Entire Family with NSI's Professional Grade Low-Level Carbon Monoxide Monitor.

Provides protection for all age groups and conditions, especially infants, children, the elderly, and highly sensitive or ill people. Other detectors barely provide minimal protection for healthy adults.

Lets you know there’s a problem before reaching dangerous, even deadly CO levels, long before the other detectors even begin to work.

NSI’s Model 3000 Monitors employ the same electrochemical sensor technology found in professional CO Analyzers that cost thousands of dollars. These monitors are calibrated using CO, not electronic guesswork!

Ask your NCI-Certified Contractor how an NSI 3000 Monitor can help keep your home safe and healthy today!

Facts You Should Know to Protect Your Family

Why do I need a low-level monitor?

The NSI low level monitor senses CO levels as low as 5 ppm (parts per million). Infants, children, elderly, persons with respiratory or heart ailments are provided little or no protection from deadly CO with standard alarms. Long term exposure to Low-level CO above 15 ppm can cause illness and even permanent disabilities.

What about the other “detectors” sold at retailers and home centers?

Store-bought detectors don’t alarm until unsafe levels of 70 ppm or higher are present at the unit for 3-1/2 hours! By then it may be too late. Plug-in models don’t always allow for proper placement and don’t work during power outages. The NSI 3000 is battery powered for 24/7 protection.

Why is the NSI 3000 more expensive than the others?

Accurate, low-level CO detection requires more expensive components & quality control. The NSI 3000 CO monitor uses the same technology and sensors as in professional-grade CO analyzers used by contractors, fire departments, and utilities. And NSI’s unique Continuous Scan™ mode lets you know the monitor is operational 24/7!

How many monitors should I have in my home?

As with smoke detectors, you should have one monitor installed on every level of your home. Even a single story home may need two, one at each end.

Where should I place the NSI monitor?

CO is lighter than air. Monitors should be mounted at eye level and no lower. They should be placed in an area with good air circulation. If you have only one monitor it should be placed near the master bedroom. Additional locations include your kitchen, nursery, basement, rooms with fireplaces or gas logs, and near your heating system and/or hot water tank.Your professional installation contractor will determine the best location in your home.

What should I do if my monitor goes off?

Call your CO-Certified contractor at any level below 70 ppm, unless you have symptoms. CO exposure can cause nausea, severe headache, shortness of breath, chest pain, blurred vision, and dizziness. If you experience these symptoms call 911 and leave the house immediately. Above 70ppm, evacuate immediately. If you have symptoms, call 911 from a neighbors house. Call your utility to turn off the equipment until your COCertified contractor can investigate the source of carbon monoxide.

The NSI 3000 Offers Real Protection:

Continuous Scan™ mode lets you know monitor is checking for CO – 24/7

More than cooling the air, the main function of an air conditioner is to dehumidify the air to create a comfortable environment. The water released from the dehumidified air is then drained away. If your air conditioning system is located in your attic, this can pose serious problems. If your drain ever clogs, the condensation will overflow from your air conditioner and onto your ceiling. Repairing or replacing your ceiling could cost you hundreds or possibly even thousands of dollars if you have a cathedral ceiling. For this reason, we offer a ceiling saver kit.

The ceiling saver kit catches any potential leaks in a custom fabricated pan that has a separate drain line to protect your ceiling from leaks. What if the back-up drain gets clogged? We’ve got it covered. We also install as part of our ceiling saver kit a safety switch that will automatically turn your air conditioner off eliminating the possibility for any more condensation to occur. At this point, you will realize that your air conditioning system is not working and call us for service to correct the problem without ever leaking a drop of water onto your ceiling.

Condensation or wastewater is a byproduct of high efficiency furnaces, air conditioning evaporator coils, and flow- through humidifiers. A condensate pump is used to transfer this wastewater to a proper drain.

A hard start kit is designed to assist your compressor on start-up. If your inside air conditioning coil is located more than 50 feet from your outside condensing unit, you probably need a hard start kit to assist your compressor when it turns on. You see, your air conditioner works like a pump circulating the refrigerant throughout your system. The harder the pump has to work the less efficient it is and the more likely it is to break down. A hard start kit helps your air conditioner when it needs help most, when it first starts up and has to begin the pumping process. The addition of a hard start kit will extend the life of your compressor, which could save you from the high cost of a repair or replacement.

Remote monitoring device

Let technology make your life easier. Today we have systems available that can monitor your heating and air conditioning system 24 hours a day 365 days a year. These systems are perfect for vacation homes or for people who travel a lot.

With electrical power at a premium during the sticky summer months, utility companies often lower their output of power. This is normally called a brown out. A brown out or reduction in power can do irreparable damage to your appliances, especially your air conditioner. All appliances are designed to work with a certain amount of power. If that power level is dropped, your appliances will continue to function, but they will be forced to work under duress.

A lightning strike to your home can damage or destroy all of your electrical appliances. With a lightning arrestor installed in your breaker box, you can protect all of your electrical appliances including your air conditioner, computer, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stereo and televisions with a single dedicated lightning arrestor tied into your home’s electrical panel. This simple, inexpensive device can save you thousands of dollars in the event your home is ever struck by lightning.

By stopping your unit from going on and off (short-cycling) so much, a time delay relay keeps it from wearing out prematurely. A time delay relay is also the perfect accessory for families that have children who like to play with the thermostat. No matter how often you change the setting on the heat/cool switch or the fan on/auto switch, you can't burn out your compressor. This is because the time delay relay won't turn your system on for 3-5 minutes after the last thermostat adjustment has been made.

Why choose a certified contractor

What you can expect from us.

You can count on us to do your diagnostic and repair work efficiently because our technicians are NCI (National Comfort Institute) certified.

Why chose a NCI certified contractor?

For the same reasons most of us choose:

A certified public accountant to do our taxes

A certified realtor to sell our houses

An AMA-certified doctor to examine and treat us

A bar-certified lawyer to represent us in court

In all of these professions, the designations come to people who have studied, tested and achieved a level of competence that resulted in receiving a professional designation.

An NCI certified contractor in air diagnostics and balancing, or certified in carbon monoxide and combustion is no different. NCI certified contractors have attended classes, used specialized equipment and are constantly up-to-date on the latest diagnostic and repair techniques in these fields.

An NCI certified technician has passed a recognized testing process which validates his or her understanding of the technology and procedures used in this field. In addition NCI monitors their certified contractors and requires recertification every 2 years.

You might find a qualified uncertified contractor who could diagnose your comfort problem. You might also find someone who knows a lot about law who could represent you in court. The question is; does it make sense?

The precision tune-up specialist who maintains your equipment will thoroughly check it for safety and operational efficiency, tune it up for maximum fuel efficiency, and inspect it for potential faults. This saves you money by reducing your fuel bill, by avoiding costly breakdowns, and by prolonging the life of your equipment.

  4. Peace of Mind

You’ll have peace of mind knowing that we comply with all codes, licenses and laws

Be aware that in Massachusetts there is no mechanical or HVAC licensing for residential or light commercial contractors. Consequently, there are no mandatory inspections.

The only permits usually pulled are electrical and (if equipment is gas fired) gas and then only gas lines, venting and/or electrical lines are inspected. Ductwork is rarely inspected unless it is on a new construction project.

THE BEST INSURANCE A HOMEOWNER HAS IS TO PULL A BUILDING PERMIT FOR HVAC INSTALLATIONS AND HAVE THE LOCAL BUILDING INSPECTOR CHECK THE DUCTWORK AND TO DEMAND A MANUAL J HEAT LOSS ANALYSIS FROM THE HVAC INSTALLER.

Don’t fall into the trap of hiring a company that is able to offer a cheaper price because they operate without a license, don’t ‘pull’ required permits, or don’t carry adequate insurance. R. J. Franey Mechanical Services is a licensed contractor and obtains all municipal and state permits as required. R. J. Franey Mechanical Services is insured for Workers Compensation and for liability insurance.

Compliance with codes and adequate insurance is important to you for liability reasons. If a worker is injured and the contractor is not insured, you can be held liable. Or, if there is an insurance claim due to a fire or an accident that is related to unlicensed work or work for which no permit was obtained, your insurance company may dispute the claim. You also want to avoid questions related to workmanship when you sell the house, which may end up costing you more than the original repair to correct.

With R. J. Franey Mechanical Services, you have peace of mind knowing that you are not dealing with a ‘fly-by-night’ company that can leave you ‘hung out to dry’.

Ongoing safety training, drug testing and rigorous employment screening help ensure your family’s safety.

When you invite a company to come into your home, you make yourself, your family, and your belongings vulnerable. R. J. Franey Mechanical Services takes this responsibility very seriously, which is why the technicians we hire are subjected to rigorous screening. The bottom line is that the only people who are hired are people that the owners and managers would feel comfortable having in their own homes with their wives and children present.

All of our personnel are subject to a CORI background check. The Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Unit provides CORI to Board certified, non-criminal justice agencies such as schools, day care centers, home health aides, youth athletic coaches, and municipal government agencies. Individuals may also obtain a copy of their personal criminal record from the CORI Unit. Excluding law enforcement agency requests, the unit processes and average of 100,000 requests per month.

This Unit also assists in correcting inaccurate criminal records, investigates complaints of improper access to or dissemination of CORI, and provides legal assistance on matters relating to the CORI law to police, prosecutors, judges, and the public

  7. Headache-Free Maintenance

You can save money with discounts on repairs and reduced energy use.

    R. J. Franey Mechanical Services has customer discount programs available for you when you have your equipment maintained annually called our Maintenance Protection. For a low annual rate, you will receive Priority Service, Discounted Rates and Special Savings plus a precision tune-up and safety check at the end of the agreement. This is a tremendous savings because you get all the discounts and benefits of the program plus the benefits of annual maintenance all for less than what you pay for a precision tune-up and safety check!

In many cases the discounts and energy savings add up to more than the price of the Maintenance Protection. When you think about the peace of mind that you will have in knowing your equipment has been checked for safety, proper operation and potential mechanical problems, the Maintenance Protection is a fantastic value.

A special low monthly payment option is also available to make it an even better value.

  8. A Dedication to Service

You can get service when you need it because of our focus on service instead of the easier new construction.

In order to make certain that we have technicians available to meet your service needs when you need them, R. J. Franey Mechanical Services focuses on repair services and replacing equipment that breaks down rather than spreading itself too thin and getting involved in new construction. This commitment of time and resources means that when you have a problem, a repair specialist will be available to fix it.

  9. Technical Excellence

Ongoing technical training + experienced supervision + office support = top service for you

Our company is committed to the technical excellence of the service we provide you and, therefore, require our 'champion' technicians to attend regular training sessions. Besides the technician who actually does the repair, R. J. Franey Mechanical Services has highly competent and experienced field supervisors who, although you may never see, provide valuable backup to the technician. So, should a second opinion ever be required about a technical question, you don’t have to worry because the technician has highly qualified expertise to bring to each call.

Also, additional backup is available in the office to support the field technician on your job. Should a question arise about prior work performed for you, or if a part needs to be special ordered, the technician needs only to call to access that help.

When you combine all of this with the thoroughly stocked service vehicles, the cutting edge communication technology, the ‘family friendly’ service people and the rigorous employment screening, you can understand why we call the person who we deliver to your door a 'champion' technician.

Guaranteed — the equipment, the service, even our people.

30 days

100% Money Back Guarantee

R. J. Franey Mechanical Services guarantees that during the first month that you own your new system, if for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with the performance of the equipment, our service, or even our people, we will remove the system within 30 days of your request and cheerfully refund the entire amount of your investment.

5 years

Performance Guarantee

When the equipment we have installed is maintained and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s operating and maintenance manuals, the system will perform as we have stated and agreed upon. We promise a maintained temperature variance of no more than 3 degrees from your temperature selection to the actual temperature at your thermostat under normal operating conditions. If the installation temperatures are not achieved, we will make any necessary modifications, repairs or replacements at no charge to you for a period of 5 years.

This guarantee is meant to guarantee that the equipment we install is sized accurately for the home at the time of installation. It does not cover situations where the home does not maintain proper temperature caused by a component or part failure.

Done right

Satisfaction Guarantee

Our installation technicians are the best in skill, attitude and workmanship. They will care for your home and complete the job with speed and precision. They will not wear shoes on your carpets. They will clean up when they are finished and take personal responsibility for your satisfaction. They will not smoke or swear in your home and they are drug-free. If, when they have finished in your home, they have not performed in accordance with these high standards, we won’t consider the job done until you are satisfied with the results.

“If at any time during the first month of installation, you are not 100% satisfied with the performance of the equipment, our service or even our people, we will, within 30 days of your request, remove the system and refund the entire amount of the contract.”

Who we are

Excellence has been our hallmark since 1996.

R. J. Franey Mechanical Services is a customer focused heating and air-conditioning company that was originally started in 1996. Located in Mashpee, MA, we employ highly trained people whose goal is to make our company the best service company in the Barnstable County.

Our company specializes in designing, engineering, and installing complete comfort systems for owners of existing homes and buildings just like yours. We take special pride in the craftsmen we train and employ--a fact you'll notice immediately in the attitude and integrity they bring to your job site. Our entire company works hard to make your experience with us hassle-free and enjoyable. Should we make a mistake, we will do everything in our power to correct it to your satisfaction.

From the professionalism of our sales engineers, to the dedication of our field personnel, we are dedicated to delivering you the best. We take our responsibility very seriously when you place your trust in us. We pledge to always tell you up front what your cost will be to complete your job correctly. We make it a point to go over any details or limitations of the proposed system that will affect your enjoyment of the end result. You are told exactly what to expect up front. We back this philosophy with our exclusive written guarantee when choosing R. J. Franey Mechanical Services to contract your job:

“If at any time during the first month of installation, you are not 100% satisfied with the performance of the equipment, our service or even our people, we will, within 30 days of your request, remove the system and refund the entire amount of the contract.”

Compare our guarantee with the limitations, fine print and exclusions other companies tend to use to back their work today. Others will typically guarantee only the functionality of the equipment--not your satisfaction with the process or that the finished job lives up to your expectations. This is why R. J. Franey Mechanical Services continues growing with more satisfied customers each and every year. Give us a call for your service needs and see what you've been missing.

Testimonials

What your neighbors say about us.

Thank you for your fine service!

Paul L., Falmouth

I very much appreciate the warranty for parts and labor. You have a customer for life!

Judy C., Marstons Mills

Too often we are guilty of complaining about how poorly we are treated by a particular business and then, should something wonderful happen, we don't mention how great it is to be treated as a person with a problem rather than an irritant interrupting someone's coffee break.

To me, my dealings with everyone I met at Franey Mechanical Services were wonderful. All of you took the time to make sure I understood exactly what was necessary to correct the problem and what the cost would be. You were professional and very knowledgeable in your area of expertise. It was a rather rude awakening for me when I realized after my husband died, exactly how many things he took care of for us.

You can be sure I will be most happy to suggest R.J. Franey to anyone who should ask "who to call". Actually I have already mentioned how delighted I was with your work to people who weren't even asking for a name yet, but knew I'd been having terrible problems with my A/C. Each of you were fantastic in your own way, and it really meant a lot. Amy, a special thanks for your cheerfulness, helpfulness and understanding.

Just wanted to let you know how your attitudes, as well as your work, lifted my spirits.... and my comfort.

Kay S., Cotuit

R.J Franey Mechanical installed a gas burner in my home in the fall of 2005. The work was performed in a professional manner; the work area left neat. I called the company to check on something after the initial installation and their response was immediate. My telephone conversations with the office staff was positive as well. I would recommend Franey Mechanical to anyone looking for quality workmanship and performance.

Dianne M., Mashpee

Thank you so much for the prompt and efficient work. The installers were great—the clean up was amazing and I am thrilled with the new boiler, it is so quiet. Thanks again, I look forward to doing business with you again.

Eileen B., Sandwich

After dealing with four other contractors and realizing no improvements in our heating and air conditioning problems, we called Franey. These guys found problems and made improvements to our ductwork, our air conditioner, and pointed out some major air leaks in our house which we were able to seal ourselves. The comfort has improved dramatically and we can't wait to see the improvement in our heating bill this winter
